Russell Frank Hyde, 97, of Honey Brook, passed away on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at Brandywine Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Eva (Sharitz) Hyde, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. 

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Amy Gibson Hyde and Russell Frank Hyde, Sr.  

He was an area resident his entire life.  Russell served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He was a member of The Forks of the Brandywine Presbyterian Church of Glenmoore.  He was a member of Howell Lodge #405 F&AM in Honey Brook, PA.

Russell enjoyed roller skating, ballroom dancing and deejaying.  

He worked at IBM as a typewriter repairman.

Russell is survived by his wife, Eva, and two stepsons, Gregory Krajewski of Honey Brook and Kenneth Krajewski of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Carl and Bud, both of Florida; and his sister-in-law, Pauline.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Edith, Edgar, and Alice.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 14th at 11 AM at Tel-Hai Chapel, 1200 Tel Hai Cir, Honey Brook, PA 19344, followed by interment in Philadelphia Memorial Park.  The viewing will be held from 10 until 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tel Hai "Care Assurance Fund".

Russell was such a great man. He had such a sweet, gentle disposition and was so young at heart. My sincere condolences to Aunt Eva and family. Russell will be really missed.

Eva, my thoughts and love are with you. I know Rusell lived a good and full life and he will be missed greatly. I remember him for how funny he was...he never said an unkind word to me. Take care dear friend.
